Four Violet Reviews: Homeschool Complete ~ REVIEW

Unit studies work perfectly for us because I can choose topics that interest Kaden and there is a beginning and an end. As well as many little detours here and there along with sensory filled activities and crafts. It just makes for a more pleasant homeschool experience. Lately we have been using a Unit Studies from Homeschool Complete. We worked on the Olympics study.

Homeschool Complete offers a complete curriculum for grades K-4 that is simple to use. You can check below to see what other reviewers had to say about using that in their homeschool. They also offer unit studies for grades K-6 and that's what I will be sharing about.Unit Studies consisted of Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Science, Fine Arts, Physical Development, Fitness, Character Development, and Bible.

It came to us on quality paper with vibrant pictures. You could easily punch holes in it and put in a binder. I immediately went through the helpful materials list and the overview of each of the lessons. It's designed to take only a few weeks to complete, so these are perfect in between major holidays or in the summer. Right now we are packing and in the process of moving so it worked out rather nicely to still give Kaden something to work on without me having to do a ton of preparation.

I will say a lot of the things Kaden already knew about or wasn't exactly challenged. But, there was so much variety we were able to pick several things that did work for us. For instance I would say the math and language arts was super easy, it seemed a tad bellow grade level, but the other reading, science, social studies and arts offered more of what I thought would be on target for this grade level. It was targeted for grades 3-6, so that's a wide range and perfect for multiple ages at the same time.

I enjoyed the numerous different activities from the Pledge of Allegiance, games of hangman to Newton's Law of Motion and making a table top soccer field. I honestly was super impressed and hope to get a few more of these for over the summer while we travel. Everything is easy to follow and well organized. The lessons and topics were all interesting for Kaden and he never complained to work on our study. Any materials needed are pretty normal items that we had in the house and having the list easily available made it handy.
