Once again I have the privilege of sharing a brand new Biblical adventure from Drive Thru History®, this time through the New Testament with the one and only Dave Stotts. For the past few weeks Kaden and I have been enjoying our lunches while watching Drive Thru History® "Acts to Revelation". You might remember our review of the previous series, Drive Thru History® – "The Gospels" we did almost 2 years ago.
This series explores the world of the very first Christians following the death and resurrection of Jesus. The set of DVDs contain 18 episodes that are about a half hour each. We have averaged about 2 episodes a week, so we are about halfway done. Usually it's the whole family gathered and watching. We like to pause and discuss along the way. A 30 minute episode can easily turn into an hour or more. Overall I think our favorite part of this series is seeing where it all started. The quality is so amazing it's like you are right there with Dave. Mahala said she enjoyed seeing the present day of these Biblical places she will probably never get to see. We get to learn about the culture, geography of the area and so much more all while connecting visually to the Bible. Hope that makes sense. :) Kaden says that Dave makes it fun to learn about History and the Bible. Because he's so funny and extremely likeable.
I think this is the perfect family gift for Easter, actually the whole collection would be amazing. This would be great to share at a small church gathering, for your homeschool or personal video collection.
The episodes are rich with information, connection to God's word and a visual symphony for you to take in and keep with you forever. Make sure you connect with Drive Thru History®
