Easter is right around the corner. Where has the time gone? Every year we participate in Our same Traditions to Remember Our Lord and Savior. This year is a little bit different, we were given an Early Easter Surprise from Egglo Entertainment.

in the dark egg hunt is that Jesus is the light in the darkness and that
we are God's people that also become a light in the World.
The book The Egg-cellent Easter Adventure definitely took us all on an Adventure. This 40 page book is nicely illustrated and it had Kaden at the edge of his seat with excitement as each Scroll was found. It was a bit on the Long side, so younger Kiddos may need to break it up or have take turns reading with a Parent.
After we read through the book we put together all our eggs and went on our little Egg Hunt. After we charged the eggs with Sun and the help of a flash light or two we raced around to find all 12 of them. I did not tell Kaden about the Egglo Treasures Scripture Scrolls. So, he was super surprised to find them hidden inside the eggs. And they matched with the scrolls in the story. Of course the next thing he had to do was compare them to the ones in the book. He thought it was the neatest thing to have "real" scrolls. :)

Kaden calls his eggs, Jesus eggs. And since he has newly started sleeping in his bed he has used night lights and the bathroom light to help him feel safe. He told me that instead of those lights he wanted to use Jesus' Light from the eggs. How sweet is that? They glow for about 30 minutes and that's just enough time for him to drift off to sleep. Another way we used the eggs was in the Bath tub. Because of his Sensory issues he does not like water at all. I'm proud to report that he did take a glow in the dark bath. As, you can see there are many ways to use your eggs and incorporate the Light of the Lord.
