Yes, I was Kicked out of Brownies!

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!
We are back from camping. And can I tell you it feels great to be clean. My family and I had fun. This was our first camping trip with the baby. He did super well. In fact he did awesome. It rained the whole time except the first and last day were fantastic!
Any who, We spent a lot of time trying to stay warm and dry, but we played a ton of games and the kids became one with the woods. Mahala is a full Mountain woman at this point. So all is good. When we packed up the car to leave the campsite, which by the way is my least fav part, we felt a tad of excitement. Thanh loves to pack the car, because he thinks he is the only one that does it right. If he only knew! We got home and all of a sudden we started feeling really dirty. We looked filthy, our stuff looked filthy. We all rushed and brought everything in like in record time. I was amazed! Out in the woods I swear we didn't look so bad. We had even cleaned up before we came home. How funny is that!
I have to say I told everyone we were to be unplugged for the trip. So, no music, game systems, t.v., nothing. They gave me a hard time, but not once in 5 days did they ever say they were bored. Can you believe that, I hear that all day every day here at home and they have every game and system any child could want and not to mention tv, movies and music.
We ate a bunch of snacky stuff they don't normally get at home. And almost every night we had the camp food of All camp food- S'mores. That was yummmmy delicious. I seriously have not had these since before I was kicked out of Brownies when I was a little girl. Yes, I was kicked out of Brownies. They were wrong and I was right........I promise it wasn't my fault at all! That will be another story now back to S'mores...mmmmmmmmmm. We made them, ate them and became intoxicated with the glorious mixture of marshmallow and chocolate. And the graham crackers sent you plum over the top with their crunchy, Cinnamon goodness. So, enough with all that! Now I have a ton of clothes to wash, coolers to clean and so forth. And in less then 2 weeks we are camping again, I can't wait.

This is exactly the time when I rolled over in bed and lazily opened my eyes. Terror was the next feeling- we have to be at church in exactly 1 hour. How was I going to get myself, 3 kids, an au pair & my husband out the door in time to show up looking like we had been up all morning. Everyone except Thanh and the baby were still sleeping. Oh, & Skylar had a friend stay the night too- just one more that needed to be feed & put together.
Can you believe we actually made it on time & even got the baby to his little class.
Praise the Lord.
After church we ran a few small errands & then we had the BEST turkey pastrami sandwiches ever. Maybe I was just so starving that my taste buds played a trick on me.
The day was great though, we relaxed & played the game phase 10 like a million times.
At dinner we were talking about cartoons we liked as kids, favorite foods & things like that. I enjoy hanging out with my kids. My kids are the best. I wish I could remember times with my Mom & Dad. I just don't remember anymore. Half the memories I have, I'm not sure if they are real or just dreams I've had & don't know the difference. It has been 20 years since my Mom died , 21 for my Dad. Life goes by sooooooooo super fast. That is why I want to spend every moment I can with my kids now, because I don't want them to forget the love I have for them. I want them to have tons of memories to choose from.
Well, I am off for now- nighty night!

My Surprise Shin Dig!

I was right!!! My friend was supposed to take me to have my toes done, but she was late. So we went for a waffel instead. Oh Boy! After stuffing our faces she took me back hom wehre my husband greeted me at the garage. As I walked in everybody yelled Happy Birthday!!!! I was speachless, & that NEVER happens. So, I was shocked & happy that there were people there that I was totaly not expecting. It made me feel special for sure.
We had a TON of food, 2 cakes & lots of laughs. Skylar, my sweet 14 year old son wanted me to be surprised. It was all his doing & he went to my husband & they both made it happen. It's not every day that a child at any age would give up their Birthday party like that. So, this is why Thanh did not want to go on the camping trip with the church. He asked me if I was still mad & I said Heck Yeah!!!! I don't want him to forget my wrath or think I'm going all soft. What a day, a wonderful day. I wish that it didn't have to end, but I know it must.

Shin Dig????

Today is the day, the day of my eldest son's Birthday party. We share the same Birthday, so for 14 years I have taken the back seat so he could dance in the Birthday lime light. And that's ok, it would just be nice to be thrown a Birthday bone every now & then. BIG SMILE!
So, yesterday he was cleaning the house & today I saw Birthday plates & that I did not buy. Scratch my head.....
I have a thought, but I'm not sure, I may be having a shin dig sometime today. That would be nice & I will act surprised, because I would be surprised. My husband isn't the most romantic person I know, but he's mine. And I'll keep him. Lord knows I don't want to potty train another one! More later, I need to go put my face on.

Ok, so now I am official. No more paper, napkins & late nights lost in thought. I can come here & type until my fingers fall off. Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! This is going to be a spot for me to get to know myself, talk about my past, rant about my kids & husband & it's cheaper then therapy! Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! I have so much I don't even know where to begin.
Maybe, we can do something positive & negative each day. That sounds nice.
Ok, Gripe of the day!
My husband, God please love him. I am very angry at him right now, because I had a father/son over night trip planned with the church. From 5pm Friday- 12pm Sat. Let me say again that it was FREE!!! And he does not want to go, he is busy, busy? I do not think so. My kids are verrrrrrrrrrrrrrry important to me & he is busy! If I said I was busy for every meal I fixed, load of laundry I did, dish I washed, lesson I taught, diaper I changed. (ok you get the picture) Nothing would EVER get done. I am hurt because I want Skylar & Thanh to have a better relationship. He is 14 now & it is important for them I think.
Enough of that for one entry.
Something positive.......
Today I am going shopping to get all the stuff we need for our trip to Malibu. Yipeeeeeeeeeee!!!
And I am baking a cake for Skylar's Birthday party tomorrow. I LOVE shopping, even if it's for dog food. HA
Well, I am off for now, I'll Be BACK!!!!!
