Bible Journaling Kit ~ REVIEW

It's no secret that I have been coloring in my Bible for a few years now to my Family.  But, I haven't always blasted it out on here but on occasions.  One of my most prized possessions is my ruddy mauve King James Bible I received from my Foster Parents when I was Saved and Baptized at 16.  Every since then no matter what the circumstance I have walked closely with the Lord.  Coming from the Bible Belt area in our country I would have never thought to
use my creativity to enhance my experience in God's word.  It wasn't until a few years ago I walked though a Storm in my Life where I couldn't even walk with my own two feet, God had to carry me throughout my day for months....many months.  During that time I leaned into him more and more each day and grew stronger with every breath I whispered in prayer.  I also fell into the word, daily reading my Bible and God spoke wisdom to my heart and I would scribble out what he said to me in a journal.  I started highlighting and underlining in my Bible and it just came natural to start writing my thoughts in the blank spots or on index cards and leaving them tucked away near the passages that I was reading at the time.  And this my Friends is what lead me to Bible Journaling....it was simple at first, but now I use many forms of mixed media.  I'm thrilled to have had the privilege to Review a wonderful Bible Journaling Kit from Ellie Claire, a Division of Worthy Publishing Group thanks to FlyBy Promotions.

I dived in immediately, because the colors were beautiful and I was stunned about the pouch.  I had never seen anything like that before.  When I work on a Bible study I am usually at home with all my supplies.  But, how nice is it to have some essentials in a beautiful pouch conveniently strapped to your Bible??  It's crazy I know, but I can't wait to take this pouch with me camping next time we go. 

I was impressed with the quality of the product compared to what I'm currently using now.  The Colored Pencils were smooth, true to color, didn't smudge and were easy to use.  The Stickers made my heart sing......they were clear so I could put them over words or on top of color to make the letter or words pop!!!!  The pealed off easily, stayed stuck and I was even able to re-position a few of them and they didn't loose their stickiness! :) 

Page Protector

The Tabs were another favorite of mine.  Most Tabs you need to glue into your Bible....these were stickers....no glue needed, which means one less step to do and I don't have to worry about them coming unglued in the future.  Some of the Tabs were left blank, which was awesome because I could put in whatever I wanted, I Love Customization!!!!  The Page Protector is another great feature I didn't know I needed when I first started Bible Journaling.  It didn't take many times of paint splattering somewhere I didn't want for me to realize hmmmmm I need a page protector.  This one is clear....a nice bonus!  And offers a ruler, 3 straight sides and one side that offers 2 different waved edges to trace onto your Bible, card stock, envelopes, anything  that you need to add detail or wording to.

 These Stickers are Great and cover many areas of Study in your Bible, I even used a few in a Birthday card I made last week. :) 

I made a few spreads with this Kit so far and still have plenty more stickers, tabs and letters left for further Projects and Journaling.  This is a perfect Kit for Starters in the Bible Journaling Community, for People New and Seasoned in their Faith.  This would make a Sweet Christmas Gift for a Loved one or to have on hand for Birthday Gifts, Graduations, Devotional Study Groups....I mean you name it this would put a Smile on their face. :)
