Another Brinkman Adventure ~ Review

I've always enjoyed the Brinkman Adventures with the kids.  This next Review has us listening to their newest release, the Brinkman Adventures Season 4.  We have listened to all of their other seasons, so Kaden was on me quick as soon as it arrived in the mail.  The Series is a Christian Audio Drama/Entertainment Adventure suitable for the whole Family to listen to and enjoy.  So, who are the Brinkmans?  They are a large Homeschooling Family that are what I would call Real Modern Day Missionaries.  The stories told are based on real life situations and will keep you on the edge of your seat almost the whole time.  We received a set of 4 CD’s that came in a durable plastic case, great for safe keeping, car and RV trips.  There are over 5 hours of adventure in Season 4 with 12 suspenseful episodes and each of the stories are roughly 30 minutes long. (just enough to make you crave for more) You can also get the season as a downloadable MP3 which we have had in the past.

Here is a list of what you will get with Season 4

  • Ep. 37  A Paradise Lost - the 1st adventure finds the family dealing with a natural disaster while making the best of a rough situation at Family Camp.
  • Ep. 38  Remember Nhu - this one was about finding and freeing a young girl from slavery.  Listening to God's voice...
  • Ep. 39  Aisha’s Fear - seeing a mean man turn kind through the Lord's work was amazing.  And to see the lives touched from one man's Faith.
  • Ep. 40  Heart Song - this adventure takes us to rural Russia
  • Ep. 41  The Crashed Kitchen - you will experience Hope and some Patience in this episode.
  • Ep. 42  Crisis in the Congo - In the Congo with a powered parachute to share the word with the Jesus film.
  • Ep. 43  The Mysterious Palm Feller - this one was a little intense, lot going on as they resume after the storm from the last episode.
  • Ep. 44  War of the Raccoons - very light story that packs a punch in the moral department
  • Ep. 45  The Five Guys - Listening to the Lord is not always easy to do, this was one of Kaden's favorites.
  • Ep. 46  Toughest Man - Could you surrender it all for the Lord?  This is another intense adventure episode.
  • Ep. 47  Cambodian Quest - Heading to Cambodia to the Nhu House, a dose of serving out of love not obligation.
  • Ep. 48  What Brings Us Together - One word....Wedding!!

One of my favorite things to do after listening to an episode is to head on to the Brinkman's website.  It is full with so much additional information to corespondent with each story told.  It's the Real Story behind the episodes.  Like in the first one Kaden and I were able to look through actual real photos, scriptures from the episode like.... Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:6,7  And we were able to learn more about dams.  Kaden decided he wanted to build a dam out of blocks.... minus the water.  Other favorite things we were able to learn more about was Africa, the Congo and maybe a slight obsession about building his own flying contraption similar to what we learned about in the Crisis in the Congo.

So, what did we think,  just like the others we really enjoyed Season 4.  It's action packed and full of excitement and as you listen you can't help but become immersed in the stories and attached to some of the characters.  Kaden said he likes that you can hear back ground noises that you would assume would be there if you were actually there.  The stories come alive as they walk you through their Adventures.  Most families I feel would enjoy the Brinkman Adventures, head over and Connect with them on Social Media!
