As you probably remember this is Mahala's last year and I have not introduced her to Shakespeare. I know, it's crazy town over here. But, have no fear...I have been able to rectify my lack of time management and she has been going through the Macbeth E-Guide ( grades 9-12th ) from Progeny Press the last several weeks.
Progeny Press is a company that provides Study Guides for Literature, from a Christian Perspective. We have used several of their study guides in the past and have loved absolutely every single one. Even after the Review period is over my kiddos always completely finish the guides without any nagging from me...they just enjoy them and like the learning process that happens with using them.

and from other purchases in the past. We received our Macbeth E-Guide as a digital download. And honestly, I normally do not like using
digital because I like having things in my hand to touch and hold and
it never fails when I print things out something goes wrong. I am
technically challenged most of the time! :) But, this Study Guide is different, Mahala was able to type right into
the PDF on the computer. Yes, you read correctly....I know, it's Super Cool!!! Printing can be somewhat of a PAIN, so we took
advantage of
this feature and she typed everything right into the PDF. Not
all of the Literature Study Guides have this option, but a lot of them
do. Huge Bonus Points for having that capability, Mahala said it made
completing her work a million times faster and she Loved that!Let me tell you what they are like... each guide begins with an Overview of the book. A brief Synopsis, information about the Author, Background Information, and Optional Pre-reading Activities. I always have Mahala and Kaden complete these. This time Mahala was able to do some map work, read up and research Scotland. She was able to learn about castles and some back history on some of Scotland's recent Royals. We might have gotten a little sidetracked and actually found some castles for sale. :) Learning about the majestic mountains, the beautiful Aurora Borealis that dances in the night sky and the list goes on and on we were pretty excited to give Shakespeare a go. Out of all of the extra activities I enjoyed the process of writing phrases and passages that we enjoyed and wanted to remember. We decided that we will do this for all of our future Shakespeare readings also. Mahala even sketched a few pics in her book and ideas that came to her while we read together.
So, what did we think? Just like I said before Progeny Press is a fantastic company that stands by their products, offer amazing customer service and provides a product I have grown to trust and expect nothing less then the Best from them.
