Have you ever used something in your homeschool that you absolutely fell in love with?  You know when you look in your neatly done planner, list on a napkin with crayon or whatever it is you're jotting on these days to keep your life in some kind of order.... and you see that special something and you can't wait to do that thing first with your kids.  Because for one thing it's enjoyable and you actually learn right along with your kids.  So, in my whole homeschooling life of 10 years this has happened only twice.  Drive Thru History® is my Favorite homeschool product that I have ever used.  I'm talking mouth opened, starring at the screen... slowly eating popcorn... while learning a whole lot more then I ever did in High school.  So, what is my next Review?  Drive Thru History® – "The Gospels" from Drive Thru History®.  And I'm dancing on the ceiling over this one!!!

Now, I have only been this crazy over Drive Thru History® for less than a year...when I found them through an online program I currently use.  So, I don't have the actual "in my hands" DVDs of any of the other Drive Thru History® DVDs.  I know it's kind of heart breaking, but when I was given the opportunity to Review Drive Thru History® – "The Gospels" I was so excited to have my very own set.  Not just because it's their newest series, but because over the past few years my Faith has been renewed and growing deeper every day.  And to be able to take an Epic Adventure with my children as we travel through The Gospels is my kind of homeschool field trip.

When we opened our package we were taken by surprise to find a Sturdy container holding 3 DVDs and a 118 page Stunning Study Guide. The pages are high quality and the pictures included are so vibrant.  The DVDs are filled with 18 episodes that equal nine captivating hours.    Each episode gives you 30 minutes of  being entertained By Dave Stotts while seriously learning about History, Geography, Cultures, Art and actual evidence to prove the Truths we know from the New Testament.  What a journey Dave takes us on as he travels through over 50 ancient sites in Israel.  We literally are taken through the whole life of Jesus.  The Quality of the video is so spot on that it feels like you are there with him and all the extra facts, behind the scene places that I know I could Never go to in person was phenomenal.  And when I say entertained, don't get me wrong and think that this is some thrown together production filled with airy dry facts.  Dave Stotts just has a way of bringing Religion and History to you wrapped with a little bow of Humor.  I mean we watched him BBQ ribs strapped under the hood of his Land Rover as he traveled.  Yes, I'm totally being truthful....and this is why my Family is all excited that we are going to start the whole series over again and watch it on Family Movie Night.  Because it's the perfect medley of education and entertainment.  Even though it's suggested for 5th grade and up for educational purposes, but it will be enjoyed by the entire Family.

So, what did we think?  It was breathtaking to see where Jesus walked, to live even a little bit of His journey visually has been a joy to experience through Drive Thru History® – "The Gospels".
I would recommend this product as an addition to your Bible time or as a additional study in History.  Also, we have used the Scripture as Handwriting practice and I decided to use some of the discussion questions for essay writing.  We do a lot of Narrating in our homeschool and this was perfect for that.  If your not sure still take a look at this Trailer for the Series.
